4x6 sepia toned image of a young girl and boy (Adele and Carl Hertz). The boy is holding the girl's hand; labelled in pen "Oma (Maman) + Onal Carl"; studio stamp reads "LOUIS FRANK", "BERNE" Oma (Maman) is Adele Hagedorn (nee Hertz). Adele and Carl were the grandchildren of Leonard Frank's father, Louis Frank, and were thus the niece and nephew of Leonard. As adults, Adele moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil and Carl was killed during the Holocaust.
