Envelope with House of Windsor coat of arms embossed on flap of envelope. Pencil marking on top right corner of envelope reads "753906". Folded letter with red flocked House of Windsor coat of arms, reading "Buckingham Palace" underneath. Message on letter reads: "I join with my grateful people in sending you this memorial of a brave life given for others in the Great War." Stamped with the regent's signature underneath message.
